Code of Conduct
The North American Hockey League (NAHL), in partnership with USA Hockey, is committed to fostering a safer, more positive, and respectful environment for all athletes. To support this goal, the league established the NAHL Code of Conduct in 2012, strengthening its approach to dangerous actions, inappropriate behaviors, and violations of the rules of play.
The initiative was developed to identify and address behaviors that negatively affect the game, review existing playing rules, and establish supplemental disciplinary guidelines. These guidelines are designed to promote player safety, accountability, sportsmanship, and consistency in disciplinary actions while reflecting the shared expectations of the junior hockey community.
All NAHL players, coaches, and officials are required to review the Code of Conduct materials and acknowledge their commitment to the principles outlined in the initiative. Each participant is expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct, respect the rules of the game, and contribute to a safe, fair, and positive hockey environment.
