When the Minnesota Wilderness take to the ice for the first time at home this weekend, they will do it with the
only player with multiple NAHL honors this season.
Forward Jakeb Lynch today was named the Bauer Hockey Midwest Division First Star of the Week after recording
seven points last weekend in a split at the Janesville Jets. In Friday’s 6-1 victory, the three-year veteran forward
posted his first career hat trick and added two assists. Lynch followed that with one goal and one assist in
Saturday’s 5-3 loss.
It is the fourth time Lynch has claimed a division first star of the week in his NAHL and his second this season. Lynch
also won the award after the Wilderness’ week one sweep of the Wisconsin Windigo Sept. 11 and 12. He also won
star of the week once in 2024-25 and once in 2025-26. Four star of the week awards sets a new Wilderness career
record.

This also marks the second consecutive week a Wilderness player was named first star of the week. Frantisek
Netusil claimed the award after he generated five goals and two assists vs. the Anchorage Wolverines over three
games from Oct. 9-11.
Netusil is one of three Wilderness players to win three star-of-the-week honors. That list also includes defenseman
Janis Jaks during the 2016-17 season and goaltender Ryan Fanti over the course of two seasons from 2017-2019
Lynch currently leads all NAHL players with 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists) over 12 games.
He will be joining the Wilderness this weekend for their first two home games of the 2026-27 season. Minnesota
will be hosting the Springfield Jr. Blues Friday and Saturday nights at Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet,
with both games set to begin at 7:15 p.m.
