Saturday, February 6th:
MN Wilderness 1 @ Aberdeen 3 – The Wilderness split the series with the Aberdeen Wings. Nathan Mann with the Wings got the scoring started in the second. Christian Galatz would tie the game later in the period and the teams headed to the third period knotted at one. Michael Reed broke the tie just five minutes into the final frame and Clayton Cosentino scores to put the Wings up by 2. Jake Sibell stopped 20 shots in the win. Kaleb Johnson stopped 37 shots in the loss.
Friday, February 5th:
MN Wilderness 3 @ Aberdeen 2 (SO) – The Minnesota Wilderness handed the Aberdeen Wings their second loss of the season as the Wilderness topped the Wings 3-2 in the shootout. Grant Docter and Christian Galatz scored for the Wilderness in regulation. Gavin Rasmussen and Christian Galatz netted the shootout goals for the win. Cullen Ferguson and Cade Neilson scored for Aberdeen while Jake Sibell suffered his first loss of the season. Kaleb Johnson was incredible as he made 46 saves to limit the Aberdeen offense.
Wednesday, February 3rd:
MN Wilderness 2 @ St. Cloud 3 (OT) – Norsemen took the lead in the first period with a goal from Charlie Skinner. The Wilderness level the game in the second as Mitch Allard scored before the Norsemen’s Brendan Kim retakes the lead with a powerplay goal. The Wilderness, again, tied the game in the third period with a Hunter Young goal that would send the game to overtime. With just over two minutes to play in the overtime period, Brett Chorske of the Norsemen finds the back of the net to secure the victory. Norsemen goalie Paxton Geisel made 31 saves in the win, while Jacob Zacharewicz made 25 saves in the loss.
