Wilderness Hockey Beats Robertson Cup Winners in Overtime

ABERDEEN, SD – The Minnesota Wilderness faced the Aberdeen Wings in a back to back series this weekend, on Aberdeen home ice. The Wilderness put up 3 goals on Friday, October 25th, but fell to the Wings with a final score of 5-3 Wings. #6 Zach Michaelis, #20 Mitch Allard, and #17 Crosby Lewis came out of the game with goals. 

The following day, #17 Lewis Crosby found the back of the net for the second time on the weekend. Later in the game, #14 Chikara Hanzawa scored, tying the game and sending the teams in overtime. 

Just over halfway into overtime play, #18 Tyler Watkins walked the puck up the rink, around the Wings defense, and burned the Wings goalminder for the OT win. The Wilderness will be back on home ice Saturday, November 2nd in Cloquet, MN.
