Wilderness Clinch HOME ICE Advantage in 1st Round of Playoffs


CLOQUET, MN – APRIL 10th, 2017- The Minnesota Wilderness begin their quest for their 2nd Robertson Cup National Championship in 4 years, this coming Friday at Northwoods Credit Union Arena. The Wilderness, fresh off of a 2nd place finish in the NAHL’s Central Division, will face the 3rd place Brookings Blizzard. The season series has been tight, with the Wilderness going 4-3-1 versus Brookings during the regular season. By finishing 2nd in the division, the Wilderness earned home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

Head Coach Tim Madsen: “Our players and staff are excited for the challenge ahead. We have earned the right to have home ice advantage, and look forward to playing in front of the best fans in the NAHL this weekend. Our players are playing their best hockey of the season right now, and will be prepared come Friday night.”
