The Chill grabbed home-ice advantage thanks to efficient scoring output in a 4-2 win on the road in Game 1. Adam Lovick led the way with three points on the night, including the game's first goal early in the 1st period. The Wilderness answered back to tie things at 1-1 on a goal from Niklas Lehtimaki. The Chill regained their one-goal advantage with a goal late in the 2nd period from Jackson Charlesworth, but the Wilderness would again tie the score as with just :05 seconds remaining in the 2nd period, Aaron Miller lit the lamp. In the 3rd period Joe Rutkowski's early goal would stand as the game-winner and Dominik Florian added an empty-netter. Adam Carlson made 22 saves in the win, while Brock Kautz took the loss, making 17 saves.
