Wilderness Have Active Home Opening Week

The Minnesota Wilderness players and staff have been busy getting ready to open the regular season vs. the Fairbanks Ice Dogs this Friday and Saturday night (September 26 &27).  The players started the week of canvasing the City of Cloquet by going door-to-door and introducing themselves to all the community on Tuesday night.  On Wednesday, the boys were busy bagging groceries at Super One Foods – Cloquet and always enjoy helping out there.  Finally, tonight, the Wilderness hosted a 'Skate with the Wilderness' for the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton youth association were over 1/3 of the association showed up to skate with the players at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.

Tonight opens up with the B&B Market Tailgate Party from 4:30-7:00 PM.  John Lind and staff from B&B Market will be selling ribs for $5 (orginially $15) with proof of ticket to the game.  There will also be beer and root beer on sale for $2 per cup.  Action starts at 7:05 PM with the puck drop vs the defending Robertson Cup champions.  Following the game, the party does not stop as the team will be heading to Carmen's of Cloquet to host our first ever Wilderness Post Game Party.  Come grab some great food, drinks, and get your favorite player(s) autograph.

Then the party rolls into tomorrow as Timber will be at the Cloquet River Run to participate in the Mascot Race.  B&B Market will be back to host a second Tailgate Party from 4:30-7:00 PM with free brats, burgers, and hot dogs.  We will be selling beer and root beer for $2 per cup too.  The Wilderness will take on the Ice Dogs again at 7:05 PM.  Do not forget your skates and helmets as we will start our new tradition of 'Skate with the Wilderness' following every Saturday home game this season.
