Wilderness make a trade with the Tomahawks

The Minnesota Wilderness have acquired foward Jaycob McCombs and defensemen Ryan Bittner from the Johnstown Tomahawks in exchange for forward Ryan McNeely.

McCombs comes to the Wilderness after spending last season with the Tomahawks, playing in 42 games while scoring 8 goals and having 7 assist.  Jaycob also had 61 penalty minutes last season.  This season he already has played 6 games tallying an assist and 4 penalty minutes.  Bittner was a tender of the Tomahawks and played last season for Crookston High School (MN) tallying 16 goals and 28 assists in 25 games played.  He has played 3 games this season for the Tomahawks.  

Ryan McNeely spent last season with the Corpus Christi Ice Rays and Fairbanks Ice Dogs, playing in 47 games tallying 6 goals and 11 assists with 12 penalty minutes.  

The Wilderness are back in action this Friday night with their home opener vs. Fairbanks Ice Dogs.  The puck drops at 7:05 PM at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena, with a tailgate party being held from 5:00-7:00 PM in the rink parking lot.  The Wilderness will be providing free brats and hot dogs at the tailgate party.
