Wilderness Prepare to Visit the Aberdeen Wings

CLOQUET, MN – January 18The Minnesota Wilderness, are on the road this weekend for a pair of games vs the Aberdeen Wings. These two road games are the first of four in a row against the NAHL Central Divisional 1st place team. The Wilderness are 18-15–3 for a total of 39 points, and are facing an Aberdeen team that is 21-11-2 for a total of 44 points. Head Coach Tim Madsen had this to say about our upcoming games, “These 2 road games are all about attitude, effort, and energy. It will be a great test for our team and we are eager for the opportunity.”

In front of 1,800 + at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena, Edward Lindelow scored twice and the Minnesota Wilderness got back into the win column as they took down the Minot Minotauros 3-1. Josh Fricks scored his 5th goal of the season for the Wilderness and Ryan Fanti denied 32 Minot shots.

The Minnesota Wilderness lost by a score of 4-1. The Minotauros scored 4 straight goals to avoid being swept the the Wilderness. Ondrej Trejbal scored the lone goal for the Minnesota Wilderness on a late power-play. Ryan Fanti and Jacob Sibell combined for 33 saves in the 4-1 loss.
