Wilderness 1-2 on the Weekend – Nov 9th,11-12th

MN Wilderness 3 @ MN Magicians 5 – In the battle of two Minnesota rivals, the Magicians got a five-point game from John Siebenaler and came away with a 5-3 win over the visiting Wilderness.
The game was even at 1-1 after one period after Siebenaler scored for the Magicians and Luke Dow answered for the Wilderness.
The two teams each scored again in the 2nd period as Thomas Altounian scored for the Magicians and Pavel Mikhasenok answering for the Wilderness.
In the 3rd period, the Wilderness had briefly taken a 3-2 lead on a goal from Alexander Esbjors, but the Magicians then rattled of three straight goals later in the 3rd period. David Kirkendall tied the game at 3-3. Will Hammer then added the game-winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in the game and Mitchel Slattery added an empty-net goal.
Ivan Prosvetov made 29 saves in the win, while Trevor Micucci made 33 saves in the loss. The win moved the Magicians to within one point of 1st place Janesville.
MN Wilderness 4 @ Minot 6 – An efficient offense helped the Minot Minotauros to their first win in their new Pepsi Rink as six different players scored in a 6-4 win. It was the Wilderness who took an early 2-0 lead with two 1st period goals from Tim Nicksic. The Minotauros responded with the next three goals in the 2nd period from Reid Stefanson, Derek Frentz and Tyler Jeanson. The Wilderness got a late goal from Louis Roehl to tie the game at 3-3. In the 3rdperiod, Minot scored three more times from Jack Murphy, Zack Bross and Nolan Sawchuk. Nicksic scored for the Wilderness to complete his hat-trick. Austin Park made 25 saves in the win and Luke Kania made 20 saves in the loss.
MN Wilderness 4 @ Bismarck 3 – The Wilderness opened up a 4-0 lead and withstood a huge Bobcats rally late in the 3rd period to pull out a 4-3 win. The Wilderness jumped ahead 1-0 with a 1st period goal from Zach Mills. Tristan Rostagno and Alexander Esbjors scored in the 2nd period and Jesse Farabee made the score 4-0 midway through the 3rd period. Bismarck mounted a comeback in the 3rd period with goals from Jiei Halliday, Parker Mismash and Jordan Fralich, but it would not be enough. Tyler Vold added three assists in the win for the Wilderness.Trevor Micucci got the win, making 40 saves and Will Ulirch made 25 saves in the loss.
