Farabee with a Hat Trick – Wilderness Split with Brookings

MN Wilderness 0 @ Brookings 2 – The Brookings Blizzard stood strong against their Central Division rival, the Minnesota Wilderness, to grab a shutout win at home on Friday. Two tallies for the Blizzard made up the only scoring for the contest, with goals coming from Chase Brand and Paul Cotter. Josh Boyko grabbed his first shutout of the season for the Blizzard, making 36 total saves. Luke Kania was given the loss for the Wilderness despite 27 saves.

 

MN Wilderness 8 @ Brookings 4 – Twelve total goals were registered between Central Division rivals, the Wilderness and the Blizzard, in Saturday’s contest. With eight goals, the Wilderness spread the wealth through their lineup. Tallies came from Jesse Farabee (3), Tim Nicksic, Pavel Mikhasenok, Michael Zuffante, Mitchell Walkinski and Tyler Vold. Brookings’ four goals were credited to Paul Cotter, Cade Borchardt, Zach Mitchell and Nicholas Cardelli. Luke Kania took the win in net for the Wilderness, making 41 saves. Net duties were split for Brookings, as Josh Boyko and Nick Althaus combined for 30 saves in the loss.
