Wilderness sweep Kenai River

MN Wilderness 6 @ Kenai River 0 – It was all Wilderness as they spoiled the Brown Bears coaching debut of Jeff Worlton with a 6-0 win in Kenai River. The Wilderness took a 1-0 lead with a 1st period goal from Jacob Tinker. The lead swelled to 3-0 with two 2nd period goals from Ashton Calder and Connor Bucsis. In the 3rd period, Calder and Bucsis both added their second goals of the game and Isak Bergland also scored to make the final 6-0. Chase Munroe made 15 saves for his second shutout of the season.

 

MN Wilderness 5 @ Kenai River 2 – The Brown Bears got goals from five different players and jumped out to a big lead as they picked up a weekend road sweep in Kenai River. Minnesota led 1-0 after one period with a shorthanded goal from Ashton Calder. The Wilderness blew the game open in the 2nd period with four more goals including three in a three minute span from Alex Toscano, Jack Kelly and Jack Forbort to make it 4-0 and one with one second left in the period from Kobe Roth to make it 5-0. Kenai River scored both their goals in the 3rd period as Sam Carlson and Croix Evingson lit the lamp. Luke Kania mae 27 saves in the win.
