WILDERNESS HAVE TOUGH ROAD SERIES AT SPRINGFIELD

MN Wilderness 2 @ Springfield 5 – Sam Craggs scored twice and Niko Della Maggorie made 29 saves as the Jr. Blues beat the Wilderness, 5-2 on Friday. Springfield got the scoring started early with a goal from Coale Norris. Minnesota responded with a goal from Casey Gilling to make it 1-1. Craggs then scored back-to-back goals to put the Jr. Blues ahead for good. Brady Tomlak and Brennan Blaszczak added 3rd period goals to put the game away. Ryan Bloom had the other goal for the Wilderness.

MN Wilderness 4 @ Springfield 7 – The Jr. Blues picked up a big weekend home sweep of the Wilderness as they exploded for seven goals in a 7-4 win on Saturday. Seven different players scored for the Jr. Blues, who jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st period with goals from Trevor Stone, Petr Kuznetsov and Danny Digrande. In a wild 2nd period the Wildernes fought back with all four of their goals from Jack Forbort, Aaron Miller, Ashton Calder and Ryan Bloom.  However, the Jr. Blues kept pace and then put the game out of reach with 2nd period goals from Brennan Blaszczak and Matt Long and 3rd period goals from Jeff Skinner and Brady Tomlak. Tommy Nappier made 25 saves in the win.
