Split with Brookings

On Friday night the Wilderness started out strong scoring two goals in the first period, 16 seconds apart from each other. Jaycob McCombs scored first (3:30) assists coming from Johno May and Richard Buri. The next goal came from Darian Romanko (3:46) assisted by Johno May. Brookings closed out the first period with a goal by Wyatt Schmidt (14:54). With no scoring in the second period, Brookings tied it up in the third when Ryan Sete scored sending the game into overtime. Brooking's Evan Hesse scored in OT, giving the Wilderness a 3-2 loss. 

Saturday's game took only 29 seconds to see the first goal scored by Michael Covach. Covach's goal was assisted by Jaycob McCombs and Thomas Lindstrom. The next Wilderness goal in the first period came on a power play by Richard Buri. Buri's goal was unassisted (8:17). Going into the second period leading 2-0 the Wilderness then scored three goals to take a commanding lead. Nolan Culver scored the first goal of the second (1:25) assists by Daniel Litchke and Darian Romanko. Scoring on a power play next was Darian Romanko (4:06) assists by Thomas Lindstrom and Michael Covach. Adding his second goal on the night, Nolan Culver (13:55), assist by Daniel Litchke. In his first game back since December 27th, Kasimir Kaskisuo earns his ninth shutout on the season, with 29 saves on the night.
