The Wilderness beat Minot on Friday night lead by a two goal performance by Thomas Lindstrom. Minot's Jacob Howie scored in the first period (11:14). Thomas Lindstrom's first goal on the night came in the second period (1:51) assisted by Eric Brenk and Alex Fredberg. Tied at 1 going into the third period, Johno May scored (5:15) assists by Darian Romanko and Jakob Romo. Lindstrom's second goal came at 18:54 assists from Ivan Chukarov and Richard Buri. Goalie Frank Oplinger saved 27 of the 28 shots that came his way.
Another two goal night for Thomas Lindstrom wasn't enough for the Wilderness Saturday night, losing in OT 3-2. Lindstrom scored the lone goal in the first period (13:44) assists from Eric Brenk and Terry Leabo. Minot's Jake Johnson scored in the second period sending it tied 1-1 to start the third. Lindstrom scored unassisted (12:46) to put the Wilderness up 2-1. Minot's Jadin Martin tied the game up sending it into overtime where Minot's Tim Donohue scored to win it. Oplinger had 28 saves on the night for the Wilderness.
